Heart of stone update

14.03.2022

   My dear readers,

Unfortunately, my editor has, same as me, been infected with COVID-19. To take the pressure off and get sufficient time to heal, she asked whether I could extend her deadline by a few weeks. As a consequence, I have decided to postpone the release of the book until I am sure she is feeling better. I don’t know when exactly this will be, but she’s told me that she hopes to return the manuscript to me by April 11th, 2022.

Obviously this isn’t the best news, but at the same time, somebody’s health must always come first. Luckily I myself am feeling quite a lot better and should be back to normal by the end of this week. My fiancé, however (whom I tend to refer to as ‘A’), has now got it from me, so suddenly I am a nurse, a cook, a maid and a partner all at once. I’m not being serious, don’t worry – he’d never allow me to slave around for him like that, lol.

Anyway, while I am now unable to give you a precise date for when Heart of Stone will hit the market, I do estimate that the book will be released closer to the end of April/beginning of May instead. Rest assured that I will come back to you as soon as I have a better idea of when I can release it.

In the meantime, I am letting the ARC application stay open to entries till April 1st, 2022. If you haven’t grabbed the ARC opportunity yet, you can do so now by clicking here to learn more.

With that matter out of the way, I want to say that I hope you’re all keeping safe and that your health is fully intact. Feel free to contact me if you’ve any questions at all and I will do my best to answer them ASAP.

Heart of Stone will be available worldwide. Since Europe and North America are my primary markets, it will be more difficult to get your hands on the printed copy outside of these. However, online stores like Book Depository ship globally for free, and you can be sure the book will be available there in print.

You will be able to purchase the eBook from anywhere in the world through my website. Once the file has been downloaded to your device, you can read it using whichever reading software you prefer (Apple Books, Kobo, etc.).

The eBook will also be available to buy on Kindle, Kobo, Google Play, Nook (B&N), Apple Books and several other places.

It might join KU for a period a little longer down the road, but I want to give my readers a chance to get their hands on it through their preferred platform first, whether it’s Apple Books, Google Play, Kobo, etc.

That’s the plan. I am still working on the design, however, so I’m not sure if it will be released at the same time as the eBook and the paperback. Regarding the design, though: it will have the same layout (black and gold) as The Night series’ hardcovers, so they should all complement each other beautifully on your shelves.

In the US, the eBook will cost 4,99 USD on Amazon, Apple Books, Nook, Kobo, Google Play, etc. Around the release, the paperback should cost 14,99 USD on Amazon, but you may see higher prices as there are a lot of third-party firms that order several copies of new books only to retail them at a higher price. So make sure you check the various formats before purchasing! I’ll show you what I mean below. This is a screenshot from the desktop version of Amazon.com.

Click on ‘See all formats and editions’, and you should be able to find the cheapest version. Make sure you have pressed ‘Paperback’ before you click to see all the formats and editions.

In Europe, the price of each format will be approximately the same as the US counterparts.

I have not settled on a price for other locations yet.

I’m afraid I still have no idea. I’m currently working on the manuscript, but I’m deleting and rewriting and deleting and rewriting a lot. Very important things are happening in this third instalment as we edge closer to Will and Cara’s finale (which is book 4), so I must be careful with the details and not rush myself. I’m so grateful you’re excited, though!
